Our privacy policy

Insightful Mobility Limited (Insightful.Mobi) understands that privacy is very important to individuals and companies.

Insightful.Mobi has adopted this Privacy Policy as we recognise each person’s right to keep his or her personal information private where possible. This Privacy Policy covers Insightful.Mobi treatment of personally identifiable information that we collect or hold. Like many other organisations, when dealing with personal information, Insightful.Mobi must comply with the Privacy Act in New Zealand.

Insightful.Mobi will collect general information about you, such as your name, address and contact details when you contact us. We may also collect this and other types of personal information during the course of dealing with you, for example when you complete a maintenance registration or request information about our products or services. In addition when using our iPad, Android and Web applications additional information will be collected from your employees. This data may include geo-location and task and event tracking that relates to the work that employees are task to perform using our application. This information will only be collected on the basis of your employment agreement with your employer and is (Geo-tracking) a requirement and health and safety law in New Zealand it will only be shared with your employer.

Where practicable, the purpose for which we collect personal information will be made clear at the time of collection.

Website visits and cookies

You can browse the Insightful.Mobi website without telling us who you are. When you visit, the website records how it is used: the pages you view, how long you spend on them and how far you scroll, the links and buttons you click, the website or campaign that referred you, your IP address, and your browser, device type, language and time zone. It does this with two first-party cookies set by our own website: one recognises a returning browser (for up to 13 months) and one groups the pages of a single visit (it expires after 30 minutes without activity). These records are kept on our own servers and are not sold.

If you send us an enquiry through the website, we link it to the earlier visits from the same browser, and we may compare its IP address with other visits to our website, so we understand how you found us and what you were interested in. We use this to improve the website, to measure our marketing and to prepare for our conversation with you.

We may also use Google Analytics and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which set their own cookies and give us reports about visitors and the organisations they work for, and help us measure our advertising. Google and LinkedIn handle that information under their own privacy policies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, our website does not record your visit.

Insightful.Mobi will use the personal information we collect for the purpose disclosed at the time of collection (where practicable), or otherwise as set out in this Privacy Policy. We will not use your personal information for any other purpose without first seeking your consent, unless authorised or required by law.

Generally we will only use, disclose or exchange your personal information as follows:

  • to provide the products, services or information you have requested from Insightful.Mobi;
  • to register your mobile app and server licenses;
  • to assist us to make Insightful.Mobi’s services and products more valuable and useful to our customers;
  • to third parties where we have retained those third parties to assist us in our business, such as to improve our products and services, to provide the products or services you have requested, or to assist us to coordinate events or promotions. These third parties could include authorised Insightful.Mobi helpdesk operators, our distributors and our professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants; and
  • for direct marketing of products or services and to keep you informed of new developments, offers and activities we believe may be of interest to you. If we contact you in this way without obtaining your prior consent, we will provide you with the opportunity to decline any further marketing communications.

You can generally access the personal information that Insightful.Mobi holds about you by contacting Insightful.Mobi via the contact form on this website. We will provide you with access unless we are legally authorised or required to refuse your request. We may charge a reasonable amount for providing access.

If you wish to change personal information we hold about you that is out of date or inaccurate at any time please contact us. After notice from you, we will take reasonable steps to correct any of your information which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date where appropriate. If you wish to have your personal information deleted, please let us know and we will delete that information wherever practicable.

We may refuse your request to access, amend or delete your personal information in certain circumstances. If we do refuse your request, we will give you reasons for our decision and, in the case of amendment, we will note with your personal information that you have disputed its accuracy.

Insightful.Mobi will take reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information which we hold and to keep this information accurate and up to date. Personal information is stored in a secure server or secure files. The Internet is not a secure method of transmitting information. Accordingly, Insightful.Mobi cannot accept responsibility for the security of information you send to or receive from us over the Internet or for any unauthorised access or use of that information.

Insightful.Mobi may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting the amended version on our web site. We suggest that you visit our web site regularly to keep up to date with any changes. This Privacy Policy is not a contract between us.
